Webinar series: Beyond zero: the role of negative emissions - coming up next

Tim Kruger & Dr Steve Smith in conversation: "Beyond zero: the role of negative emissions"

Not only ways to reduce carbon emissions are being explored as a strategy to achieve "net zero" goals around the globe in an attempt to combat climate change; measures to extract carbon dioxide from the air - also called negative emissions - are also being looked at as options. This talk will give an overview of different methods of removing carbon dioxide from the air, their efficacies and practicalities, and how their impacts measure up to those of various emission reduction strategies. Of all the possible routes to take, which ones are the best - and why?

This latest event in the Oxford Martin School's series, which explores burning questions surrounding net zero goals and the aim of combatting climate change, will explore the potential role of negative emissions in the global fight to halt climate change.
